Dave Hardister, President of American Art Manufacturing, is the sole producer of this type of treatment in the Midwest. It is currently very popular on the west coast. High quality lithographs are used in the process. Dave, a master carpenter, makes the base of fine, kiln dried hardwoods. He then mounts the lithographs and finishes with a clear lacquer-type material especially formulated for this application. This treatment allows the colors to be seen in their full spectrum. Because of the process and the archival inks, Mr. Hardister is able to provide a product that will withstand the test of time. Dave has lived in LaPorte County for 23 years. Prior to moving to LaPorte, he lived in Napa, California where he taught construction trades at Napa High School.
