10:00AM - 4:00PM
In this class we will build a small "train kiln" which will be fired on the final class time.
This design has been used by many wood fire potters for the awesome deposits of wood ash that are left on the surface of clay objects to become glaze at cone 10 ( 2350 F.) Students will bring bisque ware as well as encouraged to try some once firing with greenware. Clay slips and ash glazes will be discussed and used in this ancient process.
