10:00 am Arrive at the Washington Park Zoo - Stroll the beautiful stone walkways and islands to see over 90 animal exhibits within walking distance of the shores of Lake Michigan. Experience a behind the scene's tour of operating and caring for the animals.
11:30 am Walk to Washington Park - 99 acres located along the shores of Lake Michigan.Walk to the Pier and enjoy a box lunch picnic in one of our many shelters.
1:15 pm Arrive at the Old Lighthouse Museum - Original 1858 light station structure, eight display rooms. Great Lake history, shipwrecks, era of sailing ships. Local history and more.
2:30 pm Arrive at Mt. Baldy - Climb or walk up the 123-foot living sand dune. It is called a living sand dune because it moves five feet south every year. Why is it called Mt. Baldy? Come and see for yourself. Ranger tours available upon request.
3:50 pm Arrive at Bubbles Ice Cream Parlor - Enjoy thirty-six famous Sherman's ice cream flavors, South Bend Chocolates and hand made pies.
