Art Gallery with Pat Herman
August 10 @ 6:00 am - September 30 @ 8:00 pmFree
The Legacy Center is proud to host the work of Pat Herman as their debut artist. Located on the campus of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Michigan City, the Legacy Center serves as a multi-use gathering space for community and parish functions. The Gallery Wall seeks to incorporate the parish with the greater Michigan City arts community. Herman is both a Studio Painter and a Plein Air Painter. As a member of the Duneland Plein Air Painters, she spends most Thursday’s, April through October, painting outdoors throughout our region. Herman’s subject matter varies and can be anything that moves her at the time: beaches, fields, farms, figures, water, et al. She is grateful for the gift of making art and loves to share what she does with others.
Herman has shown her work at the Box Factory, The ArtBarn, Southern Shores Art Association, SFC Gallery, LaPorte Visitor’s Center, Rising Phoenix Gallery, Midwest Museum of American Art, Brauer Museum, Chesterton Arts Center and most recently a solo exhibit at the Beverly Shores Depot Gallery. She has won awards for her work in numerous exhibitions and competitions.
The public is invited to view Herman’s artwork during normal Legacy Center hours, 6 am to 8 pm CST. The center is located at 1719 E. Barker Ave. in Michigan City, and visitors should enter through the doors off Esther Street. The artwork will be displayed from July 1-September 30, at which time the Gallery Wall will change with a new local artist. Questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
