LaPorte Civic Auditorium, LaPorte – This regal brick masterpiece, dedicated in 1930, hosts a variety of musical entertainment. Upcoming shows:

Uptown Social, Michigan City – Located in Michigan City’s Uptown Arts District, this venue stages musical entertainment year-round. Just ahead:

LaPorte City Band Concerts in the Park – 7pm Wednesdays, June 7-Aug. 9, Fox Park, LaPorte – Rousing concerts by the oldest continuously operating municipal band in the U.S., founded in 1879.

Michigan City Municipal Band Concerts – 7:30 pm Thursdays, mid-June through mid-August, Guy F. Foreman Bicentennial Amphitheater in Washington Park, Michigan City – A wide variety of music for all ages with audience invited to sing along at opening and closing.

Festivals, Fairs, and Fun-tastic Events

An array of entertainers from all genres – rock, country, and more – take the stage for rollicking performances at super events under sunny, summer skies.

Red, Wine & Brew, LaPorte, June 30, July 1 and 2 – Beer, bands and BBQ are the go-to words for this annual festival, this year featuring country music artists, Dillion Carmichael on Friday, Adam Doleac on Saturday, and Frank Ray on Sunday.

LaPorte County Fair, LaPorte, July 8-15 – Everyone just loves the rides, food, animals, and activities at this iconic fair, and the country superstars schedule for this year top everyone’s chart: Jordan Davis July 11, and Lainey Wilson July 12.

LaPorte LakeFest, LaPorte, July 28-30 – Music under the stars and next to the water rule at the third annual festival. Enjoy live music Friday night on the Stone Lake beach, then two ’90s-themed bands Saturday night, followed by fireworks.

Great Lakes Grand Prix, Washington Park, Michigan City, Aug. 2-6 – Powerboat races across Lake Michigan star at this huge annual event, but there’s plenty of music on the shore, too, with popular regional bands playing classic rock, country and top dance hits Thursday through Saturday.

Michigan City Oktoberfest, Michigan City, Sept. 1-4 – Get in the Labor Day groove at this popular festival, where more than 40 live entertainment acts on three stages perform music in every venue imaginable. (Performers to be announced.) Celebrate all weekend with food, arts and crafts and a Kids Zone, too!
